# Sharing

Share one live diagram with anyone through a guest link or a read-only embed, or embed the full editor for people who already have access.

The **Share** button in the toolbar has two tabs: **Guest view** for people without an Archibara account, and **Editor embed** for colleagues who are members of the workspace.

## Guest links

A guest link shows one diagram, read-only, to anyone who has the link. Guests do not sign in and do not need an account.

Creating and revoking guest links needs the Administrator role in the workspace.

1. Open the diagram you want to share and select **Share**.
2. On **Guest view**, check the **Link name** (it starts as the diagram's name).
3. Choose the **Link lifetime**: 1, 7 or 30 days.
4. Select **Create viewing link**.
5. Copy the **Viewing link** with **Copy link**, or the **Read-only embed URL** with **Copy iframe code**.

> The link contains an access key that is shown only once. Copy it before you close the dialog. If you lose it, revoke it and create a new one.

The number of active links a team can have depends on its plan.

## What guests see

Guests see the diagram as it is now, not a copy: when you edit it, the guest view picks up the changes automatically while it is open. They can pan, zoom, select objects and read their details. They cannot edit anything, open other diagrams or reach the rest of the workspace.

A guest link shares only what the diagram shows:

- the visible objects with their names, descriptions, status, technology and tags;
- the connections drawn on the diagram and the groups around the objects.

Other diagrams, hidden objects, records, ownership, teams, domains and custom properties stay private. The page shows its expiry date and follows the guest's language and light or dark preference.

## Manage and revoke links

**Links for this diagram** lists the active links with their expiry dates. Select **Revoke link** to stop a link immediately. A link also stops working when it expires, when its diagram or workspace is deleted, or when a snapshot is restored, because a restore replaces the workspace's diagrams.

## Read-only embeds

The **Read-only embed URL** shows the same guest view without the page around it, for an iframe in a wiki, intranet page or documentation site. **Copy iframe code** gives you a ready-made iframe, 600 pixels high.

> Embedding works only on websites that the Archibara service allows to frame it. If the frame stays empty on your site, write to [support@archibara.com](mailto:support@archibara.com) with your site's address.

## Editor embed

The **Editor embed** tab gives a link to the full editor of the current diagram, for knowledge bases that can embed a page. People who open it work with their own Archibara account and role, so embedding grants no access by itself: Viewers see it read-only and Editors can change the model. **Open full editor** inside the embed opens the normal editor in a new tab. The same rule about allowed websites applies as for read-only embeds.

## Other ways to share

- Invite people to the workspace for ongoing access; see [Teams and roles](/docs/teams-and-roles/).
- Export an image, a report or a draw.io file; see [Import and export](/docs/import-export/).
